The traditional Article Marketing

It’s undeniably true that time has developed series of writing techniques in terms of purpose and use. Internet and marketing articles have also been flooding the ‘net but the traditional article marketing still remains as best way to do your traffic. How it works? Lets find out.

Here is how it works:

You write an article or someone has to do it for you, of about 600-word article, take out a list of 100-200 article directories and submit your article in all the directories. Try to check in about a week if your article is accepted by any of the sites and published by the directory. Thousands of websites can pick up your articles from these directories and make you top the list of the traffic.

After a week or so, try to search engines pick it up and suddenly see hundreds of new links in your own site. There are might be low quality and high quality links in the directories that are themed, your ranking number benefits thanks to the sheer number of links you’ve built.

After period of times, you will notice improvements in your search engine ranking at the next algorithm update. Those links have made all the difference and your site is starting to get higher search engine placement.

I really doubt if this works. I tried article marketing on my blog and I did not see any significant results. There are two reasons for it.
The first reason is that the google bot does not take the links from the article directory itself seriously. I have written numerous articles in directories and they don't show up when I search in Google.
Secondly, other webmasters simply cut and paste these articles into their blogs (they take care to remove links to your blog).So you might be penalised for having duplicate content!
The best strategy is to submit just one or two articles to high quality article directories.
